2011 / 12 NORTH ISLAND SUMMER SERIES RESULTS

13/06/2014

2011-2012 North Island Summer Tour – Wrap Up

Once again, another very enjoyable and successful summer season – a big thank you to all the clubs/workers who hosted/supported events, as well as the riders of course!.

Below is the updated spreadsheet with the final results.

At the final prize giving on Saturday 12th May at Papamoa, thanks was given to the organisations who, through their generosity, contributed to the success of the evening. After the purchase of trophies and certificates, we are left with a small amount of funds that enable us to purchase prizes for the various classes. Donations, no matter how small, are always very much appreciated.

The following very kindly donated towards this cause, thereby enabling us to have spot prizes during the evening:
Spray Technologies – Liquorland Vouchers
Kiwi Ski Limited – various product
Right Gear Limited – product

During the season there are many in each club who give up their time to support each event and without their help these events would not take place. Sincere thanks to all concerned.
Appreciations were extended on the night to Russell Westbrooke (Race Directing), Steve Beasley (general support and event organisation duties), Leanne Brown (certificate production) and not forgetting the lapscorers, marshalls, stand in race directors and individual club sponsors.

North Is PWC Summer Series “Sportsmanship Trophy”
The recipient of this trophy for the previous 2010/2011 season was Graham Biggs.
This trophy is awarded to someone who has displayed exceptional sportsmanship and diligence during the series; attended and supported all events; showed commitment to the competitive side of the sport and been an example to onlookers in behaviour and attitude. This is voted on by the representatives from each participating club.

CONGRATULATIONS to Tony Shannon (HBJSC) who was the recipient of the award for this season.

Last but not least, thank you to all the riders who competed – a much improved effort on your part with postal entries prior to the events – it certainly enabled clubs to get started on time and throw in 4 rounds. Keep it up. As well, boat numbers were a big improvement, making it much easier for lapscorers to record placings correctly.

Thats it from me for this season – your club representatives will keep you uptodate on dates for 2012/2013 tour.

Regards,
Meg
